The purpose of the study is to develop a Performance Assesment Tools for Food and Nutrition Area in Practical Arts Subject at elementary level. Before developing the tools, the researchers formulated a model for perforemence assessment in practical arts education based upon a review of extensive literatures, set the performence framework. Through the content analysis of Elementary Practical Arts curriculum and textbooks of third, forth, fifth, sixth grade respectively, teaching elements and achievement standards for each content area were drawn. Performance Assessments Elements were developed in terms of 3 to 5 content elements for each grade, and 5 to 8 achivement standards for each grade. Based on the analytic framework proposed, a model methed and tools were developed by Experiment & Practice, Research Reports, Oral Test, Self-evaluation Report. The total of 18 items of Performance Assessment Tools consist of 10 items of Experiment & Practice, 5 items of Research Reports, 2 items of Oral Test. 1 item of Self-evaluation Report.
