실과교육에서의 ‘기능’ 개념에 대한 고찰

A study on the concept of the ‘skill’ in Practical Arts Education

There’re several misunderstandings derived from the meaning of the ‘skill’ in Practical Arts’ Education. The purpose of this study is to analyse of the concept of ‘skill’. The ‘Skill’ is used to be understood as ‘psychomotor operation ability’. The reasons of the misunderstanding are four. First, the concrete operation ability derived from Piagetian theory is confused with the concrete mental operation ability presented by himself. His theory is not about the results but about the process of cognition. Second, the concept of the ‘skill’ is confused with the meaning of psychomotor domain from three domain specific taxonomy. Human cognition can’t be devided to three pieces. Three, the ‘skill’ must be used frequently and directly at now and future with instrumental purpose. This was not the same with Dewey’s purpose. Four, the ‘skill’ departed from the nature of experience by not to consider feeling or emotion which the way of internalization of knowledge. So the ‘skill’ which able to make experience is the real one. It relys on feeling and internalization.
