The purpose of this study was to design an instruction model and materials for Practical Arts Subject to develop the creativity of students through identifying the effect of the instruction model and materials with applicating them to classes. The subjects for this study were 639 students of 3rd to 6th grade from 16classes. In this study, researchers designed Creative Problem Solving model of Practical Arts based on Osborn-Parnes-Treffinger’s CPS model which is capable of developing both the creativity and the problem-solving ability. The process of this model was ‘Problem Recognizing’ - ‘Problem Finding’ - ‘Idea Finding’ - ‘Problem Solving’ - ‘Application and Expansion’. Researchers applied the developed materials and teaching plan in this study to the experimental classes while the comparison classes were received the typical instruction with the same content at the same period. The experimental class student showed higher creativeness score than the comparison class students, and the originality of student was remarkably developed through CPS model of Practical Arts subject.
