The followings were the result of our study. 1. Elementary school students conceives the practical arts class as a useful and interesting educational activity and this is primarily based on their experiences of practical activities. Especially, the differences on the extent of the perception between male and female students were found on several items, however, our study reveals that these differences have their origin from the interests and concerns. 2. We analyzed that elementary school teachers have difficulties in preparation and guidance of the practical arts class and desirable progressions of the class were hardly accomplished. This was mainly due to the inadequate facilities, and thus fine educational environments were essential for the pleasant practical arts class. 3. As a whole, the analysis shows that students have more expectations on the practical arts class than teachers and find more meanings and approach the class with more interests.
