초등학교 학생들의 환경 친화적 행동과 관련변인

Pro-Environmental Behavior of Elementary School Students and Its Related Variables

The major findings of the study were as follows; (1) The average score of Pro-Environmental Behavior of elementary school students was 48.77. (2) There were a significant correlation between Environmental Behaviors and such related variables as Ecological Knowledge, Experiences of the Environmental Activity, Attitude, Sensitivity, Normative Belief and Locus of Control etc. (3) Multiple Regression analysis determined the six variables as the best combination of variables to predict the Pro-Environmental Behavior. The six variables together accounted for the total explained variance of 63%. Based on the results of the study, (1) Utilization of the Environmental Behaviors used in this study may provide a vehicle to make clear variables related to the Environmental Behaviors. (2) In this study, it was identified that Normative Belief, Locus of the Control was related to the Environmental Behavior. Therefore various educational programs related to the socio-psychological variables should be developed. (3) Further study should develop educational strategies including goal, content, teaching-learning method and evaluation, to strengthen the Pro-Environmental Behavior of the students. (4) It is required to develop and standardize the Pro- Environmental Behavior appropriate to the Korean students for general use.
