초등학교 실과를 중심으로 한 진로교육의 통합적 접근

The Study of Integrated Approach for Career Guidance in Elementary School Centered on Practical Arts

In order to make career guidance more effective, which is on going process but not successfully, teachers should instruct students with tieing up the units or contents of each subject related to career guidance as the integrated approach. But in the real conditions of our present education, it’s very difficult for teachers to restructure and instruct the integrated curriculum. Therefore the purposes of this study are to analyze the curricula of ethics, Korean, social studies and practical arts and to make an attempt to integrate fields of career guidance centered on practical arts under the construction of multidisciplinary integrating curriculum. The results of this study are summarized as follows: 1. As a result of analysis about goals of the 6th and the 7th curricula in elementary school, the contents and goals related to career guidance are found in practical arts, ethics, Korean and social studies. 2. As a result of analysis about goals of the 6th and the 7th curricula in elementary school, the contents related to career guidance are found in context of learning of practical arts, ethics, Korean and social studies. And also particularly social studies and practical arts are closely related to career guidance. 3. The 6th curriculum suggests the units and fields related to career guidance in social studies and the 7th curriculum suggests those in practical arts. From this fact, we can understand that there are the foundation and the validity of integrating curriculum for career guidance centered on practical arts. 4. Career guidance should be carried out in elementary school. And it’s desirable to instruct general common contents of each subject by making the integrating curriculum scheme and to instruct the contents related to the specialty of each subject separately. Therefore, in the former case, this study suggest the integrating curriculum scheme by integrating the curricula of ethics, Korean and social studies centered on the unit ‘The world of work and occupation’ of 6th grade in the 7th practical arts curriculum.
