The purposes of this study were to identify the actual condition related to the recognition of practical arts education, completion grade and time, the system and contents of experimental text, facility and equipment, practical arts teacher’ training, evaluation, to present the new directions of its. The major findings of the study were as follows ; (1) Practical arts teachers should teach practical arts education among grades connectedly, improve an educational method and environment. (2) Practical arts education should turn objectivism based on the objectivity of knowledge into constructivism based on the subjectivity of it. (3) Practical arts education should involve computer education through discretional activities. (4) Practical arts teaching-learning materials should be variously developed for experiment and practice. (5) ‘Safty life’ domain should be developed for the prevention of practice accident in practical arts curriculum. (6) Practical arts curriculum should contain the contents that are able to perceive the dignity of man through the relation among plant, animal, man.
