Assessment Strategies of Life-Science Area in Practical Arts Subject in Elementary School

The purpose of this study was to propose the assessment strategies of Life-Science area in Practical Arts subject in elementary school so that it would help the efficient teaching-learning process and the assessment in Practical Arts subject in elementary schools during the 7th National Curriculum term. Several conclusions were drawn from this study. 1. The teaching-learning process and the assessment should be united. 2. The teaching plan and the assessment plan should be set up at the beginning of school year and each semester. 3. The conditions of assessing students should be same as real life. 4. The accurate assessment standards should be provided to get students achievement level. 5. To accomplish the achievement level of the subject, the least amount of study and assessment plan should be formulated. 6. The assessment standards in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor area should be provided. 7. The assessment period, the assessment method, and the judgement standards should be provided in the assessment standard.
