A Study on the Decision Process of Practice Subject for Effective Teaching-Learning in Practical Arts Education

In Practical Arts Education(PAE), the kind and type of practical subject really effect to the goal of teaching and learning. Therefore teachers should decide the practical subject by consideration results for the characteristics of students and his own interests, circumstance of the school. Now the various research materials about decision and construct of new practical subject are needed for effective teaching and learning of PAE in the field of teaching, but there isn’t the helpful reference for this job to them. The purpose of this research is to study about the decision process of practical subject in PAE. In this study, the decision process of practical subject was divided into six steps, researching, diagnosis, preliminary decision and preparation, preparatory performance and complementary, the final decision and application, assessment and review, also the elements should be consider in each steps were described in detail. To verify the appropriateness of this discussion, teacher ware invited, they read this research result and addressed their opinion about decision process. Most of them state that this discussion is appropriate and will be good guidance data to teachers. Also they said this discussion can apply to another course as science as experimental units. Also they will apply this decision process of practical subject to their own lecture and proposed to adapt the tools as checklist recorded the consideration elements for checking the decision process of practical subject. According to the above results, when teacher newly decide the practical subject for effective PAE, this discussion will be good reference to them.
