The purposes of this study were to analyze teaching-learning methods in practical arts curriculum, to grope for new direction of teaching-learning methods in elementary practical arts curriculum. The major findings of the study were as follows; A new direction of teaching-learning methods in elementary practical arts curriculum was two approaches : The hierarchal and the systematic approaches. The hierarchal approach of teaching-learning method should be closely connected with character, purpose, and content of practical arts education, present cognitive, affective, and psychomotor abilities harmoniously. The systematic approach should systematically consist the teaching-learning procedures. The introduction step should apply ‘survey’, ‘presentation’, ‘exhibition etc. And the development step should apply ‘experiment and practice’, the arrangement step should apply ‘group discussion’ etc, It should develop cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains harmoniously.
