The purpose of this study is analyzing the effects of the attachment to parents on children’s self-esteem and learning motivation, as well as presenting the basic information to form a positive self-esteem and learning motivation and the details are as follows. There is absolutely positive correlation between the attachment to parents and self-esteem. The study shows those two are closely connected with the father more than the mother because as far as the father has good communication with the child and he is very reliable, the child can develop positively their appearance self, family self, friend-related self and teacher-related self as well as self-assurance. Therefore the father significantly affected children’s emotional development. There is positive interrelation between the attachment to parents and leaning motivation. Especially the attachment to the mother has a greater influence on children’s learning motivation than the father. When it comes to the grade, 5th grade students have higher self-esteem and learning motivation than 6th grade students. The lower-grade students have self-confidence and positive motivation for learning.
