우리나라 실과교육과정의 문제점 및 개선 방안

The Problems and Its Improvement of Practical Arts Education Curriculum in Korea

The purpose of this study were to find problems, and to suggest directions to practical arts education curriculum. The study was carried out through review of literature on curriculum, curriculum development and curriculum evaluation. Main problems of practical arts education curriculum were classified into such four categories as general remarks of curriculum, content selection and organization, teaching-learning method and evaluation, physical environment. To solve the problems, following directions should be considered. 1. Practical arts education curriculum should be evaluated and developed as soon as possible, and it should be made public. 2. The objectives and characteristics, name of subject should be considered as soon as possible. 3. The cavity of curriculum should be conquered though discretional and extracurricular activities. 4. Teachers’ creative thinking and activity for the textbook should be required 5. Practical arts teaching-learning materials should be variously developed in order to adhere closely to education field. 6. The facility and equipment of practical arts should be variously developed in order to supply to education field. 7. Pre-service and in-service education for elementary teachers should be reinforced in order to level up their abilities.
