A Study on Development and Educational Effect of Multimedia Material for 「Making Goods by Sewing Machine」 Unit in Practical Arts

This study was to develop a multimedia material for 「making goods by sewing machine」 unit in practical arts and try to verify whether it was efficiency or not about teaching and learning method which was used multimedia teaching and learning method with analyzing effect of applying to the real lesson learning. 「making goods by sewing machine」 unit in practical arts was imported at the seventh curriculum in korea. But the work didn’t go well. The results are summarized as follows. The multimedia material for 「making goods by sewing machine」 which was developed by this study suggests material organization at first logo screen. And a few second later, it turn to first screen automatically. So, if you click, you can see subordinate contents and choose what you want to study. Especially it suggests image to make variety supplies and put to practical use at room of impressions for making a sewing machine friendly which has close relationship. We separated class which had 64, sixth grade elementary school students in Na-ju into a experimental group and a controlled group. After analyzing, learning effect we can get these results, About the cognitive area, there was not significantly difference but the psychomotor area and affective area, the experimental group get higher grade than the controlled group. So we can figure out that the multimedia teaching and learning method had a limit about the cognitive area. But it was effective about the psychomotor area and affective area. So, we have to develop variety multimedia teaching and learning method at unit which is hardly experienced, and make it possible to the individual learning and unify with technology about web.
