The purposes of this study were to analyze the degree of doing agricultural practice and the restrictive factors recognized by elementary school teachers. Major findings of the study were as follows; First, the agricultural practicing rates were high in the unit of flower-raising, vegetable-growing and indoor-decorating which were guided by the elementary teachers. Yet the rates for economic animal-raising and its usages, tree-growing were low. Pet-raising showed almost the same rate on doing or not. Teachers practised the units which were easily accessed and less difficult to practice. But they are inclined not to practise units with many difficulties. Second, they recognized that poor practicing facilities and implements, and too many students made even worse the agricultural practice in school. Particularly, many teachers pointed out that time for practicing and preparing lesson was insufficient, and teachers’ knowledge and technique were poor. Also, the budget for buying implements and materials was short, and irrelevant practicing units restrained doing the agricultural practices. On the other hand unnecessity for agricultural practice and the principal’s negative recognition were not the obstructions. From the results of this study, recommendations were suggested as follows: First, must select the text book units which lessen the teachers’ burden for the practicing, and consists of the contents derived from the students’ interest and concern. Second, let the teachers understand the importance of agriculture and acquire knowledge and technique, and develope the program to improve the practising knowledge and technique. Third, for the purpose of activating practical course education at elementary school, guide strongly agricultural subject, and open many lectures which are concerned with agriculture at University. And provide chance to take the training of agricultural practice. Fourth, various methods should be considered to remove the harmful factors for the future agricultural practice.
