Total of 328 5th-grade children from two elementary schools located in Daegu metropolitan city, were investigated. The result of this study shows as follows: First, the fact that 29.7% of investigated children had hand-knitting experiences means that the values of interesting educational activities, and the rate of male, 11.3%, was lower than the rate of female. Second, the result of the analysis of investigating the variation on hand-knitting experience indicates that the higher rate, 73.2% of children had given up when 26.8% of children had accomplished the object, and also that the gender shows no significant statistical deviations. Third, the multiple intelligence according to hand-knitting experience indicates significant statistical differences in all lower factors, so the experienced group shows higher than unexperienced group in all factors. Forth, the differences of intelligence from the experiences show significantly large gap between the experienced group and unexperienced group on the multiple intelligence factors no matter they gave up or not. Also, the accomplished group showed significantly higher mathematical and interpersonal intelligence than the others. In conclusion, the hand-knitting taught in 7th Curriculum of Elementary Practical Arts Education is reasonable for the 5th grade elementary school students regardless of gender, and is valuable to the overall education of children as a learning experience.
