This research was to observe and analyze of the developmental process of “Recycled Products Project” and of it’s learning effects through project approach, which was applied to Practical Arts Education subject in elementary school. For this purpose, the project was 20 times exercised to see changes in interactions among children and their recognitions about the recycled products through observing and recording the process of project, a qualitative research method. Furthermore, quantitative data by questionnaires were measured and analyzed for learning effects. The results against 38 children of 6th grade in S elementary school in Chuncheon are as follow; 1. The changes in the recognition of children were observed in the concepts, necessities, kinds, values, and attitudes about recycled products positively. Their understanding towards the recycled products was widened, and children approved them as parts of lives rather as dirty and useless things. 2. The changes in the interactions among children were observed in learning attitudes, the quality of cooperations, gender differences meaningfully. During the project, children had showed more active and cooperative learning attitudes, and the gender difference had diminished. 3. By the results of analysis from the quantitative data, the project approach significantly influenced attitudes on “the subject of Practical Arts Education” (p<.001) and “environment”(p<.01). Therefore, the possibility of project approach as efficient learning method in the subject of Practical Arts Education seems to be cleared.
