The purpose of this research was to identify the actual conditions and problems of education for unification in elementary school, to analyze the content of the Practical Arts, and to suggest strategies for developing contents related to the Practical Arts subject. This study discussed the following four points using content analysis concerning the direction of the education for unification. First, students should understand the importance of peaceful coexistence and through mutually-admitting cooperative education. Second, students are able to prepare life in national community so that they can recognize the necessary of unification. Third, the unification education should help students comprehend the relationship between the South & North by understanding their society and lives. Finally, the education must be performance-based and respect students’s curiosity.
