This study sees through the content of consumer education in the 1st-7th national education course to confirm the status of consumer education in the Practical Art Education course and to find the accurate needs of teachers in the consumer education. For this study We had to make a hard study and looked up lots of books and studies and at the same time we distributed question papers widely. The results were as follows. (1)Female teachers think that consumer education is running well now, however children waste a lot of money. (2)All teachers really wanted to systematize consumer education, and male teachers needed more than female teachers did. (3)The teachers of short career think that present consumer education is good and system is running well now, but teachers of long career don’t agree with this. (4)Most teachers of short career usually do not make consumer educations for children in their class but among the long career teachers half run consumer educations for children but half do not. (5)Teachers of long career agree to empathize more the needs of consumer education, however teachers of short career think that there is no remaining power and time in the school to spare for this matter. (6)The most dealt in contents in the elementary school is-Separate garbage collection, Garbage volume fare system, Recycle, Voluntary garbage cleaning, the need of Frugality, and so on. (7)The adequate content sequence in the consumer education is - Recycle, Separate garbage collection, Garbage volume fare system, the need of Frugality, Use of pocket money notebook, Importance of Savings. (8)The contents sequence we must deal with in a Practical Arts Education is to realize the importance of pocket money notebook and use it- the importance of frugality and practice it- the importance of Recycling and do it- and the importance of Savings and do it.
