Development and Validity Analysis of Multimedia Teaching-Learning Materials for the Unit of ‘Managing Beautiful Environment’ in Practical Arts Subject

This study purposed to develop multimedia materials for the unit of ‘Managing Beautiful Environment’ in the curriculum of practical arts for the 6thth-grade students in the 7th Education Curriculum and to analyze their validity. For this purpose, the author developed a multimedia material for the unit of ‘Managing Beautiful Environment,’ which is composed of two sub-units, unit summaries and contents of assessment presented in three sub-menus and 10 bottom menus. In order to analyze the validity of the multimedia material developed for the unit of ‘Managing Beautiful Environment,’ the author verified it through a group of specialists. The results of the validity analysis are as follows. The scores in five areas, namely, in ‘the efficiency of learning,’ ‘the validity of learning contents,’ ‘interest and motivation,’ ‘design’ and ‘convenience in use’ were 4.15 points, 4.12, 4.00, 4.09 and 4.07 respectively. This shows that the validity of the multimedia teaching-learning material developed for the unit of ‘Managing Beautiful Environment’ is high. Accordingly, it is necessary to develop more multimedia teaching-learning materials that are highly effective in promoting learners’ motive and interest and bring the high achievement of education goals.
