초등 식생활교육을 위한 교사양성 교육과정 비교 연구

A Comparative Study on the Teacher Education Curriculum for Food & Nutrition Education in Elementary School

This study is to seek for improved ways on the current teacher education curriculum for elementary food & nutrition education by comparative analysis of the current status and problems of the food & nutrition education related subjects that are established in the basic course, major course, and advanced course of the Curriculum for Teacher Education, centered on food & nutrition education of the 7th practical art curriculum. For this study, the researcher collected and analyzed curriculums and syllabus from 11 National University of Education. Specifically, the researcher analyzed the contents of food & nutrition education that are suggested in the curriculum for elementary practical art education and based on this analysis, the researcher investigated the curriculums, syllabus and subjects of National University of Education that are currently being used to develop teachers. The results are listed below: Current curriculums of National University of Education somewhat reflected the 7th elementary curriculum, but they are rather focused on cookery and how to handle cooking tools than nutrition and health. Therefore, the current food & nutrition education related subjects of the Curriculum for Teacher Education has to be adjusted to include all of Cookery and How to handle cooking tools, Balanced Meal and Food, and Nutrition and Health in order to execute professional and systematical food & nutrition education.
