A Study on Recognition of for Seasonally Special Days and Dishes

The purpose of this study is to serve as the basic data for the possible effort of succeeding to traditional culture. This study was carried out through questionnaire and subjects were 323 college students. The major findings of this study are as follows ; The importance of Seasonally Special Days was 61.0% in ‘important’. The importance of Seasonally Special Dishes was 57.8% in ‘important’. The mean scores of recognition for Seasonally Special Days were Chuseok(2.94), Seonal(2.93), Jeongwal daeboreum(2.78), Dongji(2.75), Boknal(2.62). The Seasonally Special Dishes which they had to recognized was Seonal, Jeongwal daeboreum, Boknal, Chuseok and Dongji in the order of the higher ratio. The Seasonally Special Day’s customs including the dishes which they had to succeed was Seonal, Jeongwal daeboreum, Boknal, Chuseok and Dongji in the order of the higher ratio.
