The purpose of this research was to seek the organizing method of practical arts contest for new recognition of practical arts education and promotion of creativity. Many contents of current contests for elementary school students are related to practical arts education. These contests can be changed to practical arts contest in name and contents. Students, parents and teachers have opinions that current contests contribute students to have various experiences and promote creativity of students. Then the practical arts contest will upgrade the recognition of practical arts and promote the creativity and the ability for problem solution of usual life. They said if practical arts contest was opened, they would attend to the contest. So now, if the plan for opening of practical arts contest was made and progressed, it would be successful. Many students want to attend the ‘Robot Science’ contest which is closely related to the contents of practical arts education. So, Students need a lot of experiences on making robot and managing materials of robot. Many teachers have difficulties to teach the students who attend the contest. It was because they lacked technology and skills about the content of contest. Also students have difficulties because they don’t have enough time to prepare the contest. So, teachers have to go through training course which is related to the contents of contest and sufficient time must be provided to students to prepare.
