A Review and Strategies on the Model of Intellectual Property Education

The purposes of the study were to propose the model of the intellectual property education, and to suggest practical strategies for intellectual property education based on the model of the intellectual property education. Therefore, the study was conducted through literature research on the concept of invention, intellectual property, intellectual property education, and the status of intellectual property in the schools or educational settings. The findings of this study were as follows: 1. Two models for intellectual property education were proposed : the system model for the intellectual property education and the curriculum model for the intellectual property education. 2. The components of the system model for the intellectual property education were three parts : the type for the intellectual property education, the manage subject for the intellectual property education, and the target students for the intellectual property education. 3. The components of the curriculum model for the intellectual property education also were three parts : the contents for the intellectual property education, the methods for the intellectual property education, and the levels for the intellectual property education. 4. The six practical strategies for intellectual property education based on the model of the intellectual property education were suggested.
