The purpose of this study was to describe the teaching behavior through observation in elementary Practical Arts instruction. 5 elementary school teachers were selected at Gyeonggi-do province and Chungcheongbuk-do province. They were volunteers. Their students were 5th and 6th grade. The units of instruction were “Making goods with thread and needle” and “My life which protecting an environment”. Each class was observed, recorded and analyzed. The analysis of teaching behaviors was used inductional analysis method. For the validity and trustworthiness, this study were checked by 3 practical Art educators. The result of the analysis of teachers’ discourse showed that there are 12 teaching behaviors. Used teaching behaviors revealed the difference from each teacher. 5 classes. But more remarkable difference was come from instructional objectives and types of classroom activity. For the cognitive objective, teachers used more teaching behaviors than psycho-motor objective. The lesson constructed three phases of introduction-development-closing The time distribution was appeared the disparity from each phases. Development phase had more than other phases.
