The purpose of this study were to investigate teachers opinion about invention education in school, and to propose desirable idea in order to activate it. This study was carried out through survey research, the data were collected by questionnaires from 642 teachers on a nationwide, and analyzed by SPSS/PC+ package program. The major findings of this study were as follows; 1. Mostly teachers recognized that creative invention had contributed to the development of nation economy, and invention education had contributed to the creativity development of students. 2. It was identified that problems in the invention education were bad condition of environment and equipment for invention education, lack of exclusive responsibility teachers, lack of theoretical systemization. 3. Teachers regarded a cultivation of creative thought as the most important objective, and next, a cultivation of value and attitude, and last, a cultivation of knowledge and information in invention education. 4. Most of teachers suggested that contents for invention education should be reflected on regular curriculum, especially practical arts, technologyㆍhome economics, and science school subject to activate the invention education. 5. Institutes related to invention education should offer teachers more training opportunity and administrative and financial support which teachers needed.
