어머니 양육행동이 유아의 문제행동에 미치는 영향

The effect of mothers’ parenting style on children’s problem behavior: The mediated effect of children’s empathy

본 연구는 어머니의 양육행동이 유아의 공감과 문제행동에 미치는 영향력과 어머니의 양육행동과 유아의 문제행동에 미치는 영향에서 유아 공감의 매개효과를 살펴보는데 그 목적이 있다. 수도권에 거주하는 23개 유치원에 재원중인 만 3-5세 유아의 어머니 410명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료분석은 통계프로그램 SPSS 23.0 과 AMOS 23.0을 사용하여 분석하였고, 기술통계분석, 상관분석, 구조방정식모형분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어머니의 긍정적인 양육행동은 내재화, 외현화 문제에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 긍정적인 양육행동은 내재화 및 외현화 문제행동에 미치는 영향에서 유아 공감의 매개효과가 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 유아 공감을 높일 수 있는 방안과 어머니의 긍정적 양육행동을 증진시키기 위한 방안에 대해 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to explore the mediated effect of the children s empathy on the relationship between mother’s parenting style and children s problem behavior. The subjects were 410 children aged 3 to 5 who are attending 23 kindergartens in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The mother was surveyed on her mother s parenting style, children s empathy, and children s problem behavior. Data analysis was conducted through Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) by utilizing AMOS 22.0 and SPSS 21.0. First, The parenting style directly affected the children s internalizing and externalizing problem behavior. Second, mother parenting style indirectly affected the children s internalizing and externalizing problem behavior through the children s empathy. Based on the results of this study, we discussed ways to improve the empathy skills of children and the implications of the parent education program to guide their mother s positive parenting style.
