프로축구 클럽 엠블럼의 구성요소에 관한 비교분석

Comparative Analysis on the Components of the Pro-Football Club s Emblem : Focused on English Premier League and K-League1

축구는 도시와 국가 등 지역을 지지 기반으로 존재하고 성장하는 전 세계에서 사장 인기 있고 가장 많은 프로리그를 운영하는 스포츠다. 낮은 TV시청률과 관중 점유율로 인해 아시아 최초의 프로축구 리그인 K리그1의 중계권료는 매우 낮은 수준이다. 본 연구는 EPL과 K리그1 소속 클럽들의 엠블럼을 비교분석하여 클럽들이 지역민들과 유대감을 높일 수 있는 구성요소를 찾아내고자 하였다. 비교분석 결과 EPL 소속클럽들은 대부분 지역정체성 요소를 엠블럼에 포함시키고 있는 반면 K리그1의 경우 12개 클럽 중 7개 클럽만이 지역정체성 요소를 사용하고 있으며, 4개의 도·시민 구단이 존재함에도 해당지자체의 로고 등에 포함된 요소를 사용하고 있는 클럽은 없다. K리그1이 유럽 리그나 국내 타 프로스포츠에 대한 비교우위를 지니기 위해서는 지역과 함께 하는 스토리텔링을 만들 필요가 있고 각 클럽의 엠블럼에 지방자치단체의 CI 등 지역상징요소를 반영할 필요가 있다.

Football is a sport that exists and grows based on regions such as cities and countries, and is one of the most popular and has most numerous professional leagues in the world. Due to the low TV ratings and spectators share, broadcasting license fee of K-League1, the first professional soccer league in Asia, are very low. This study compares and analyzes the emblems of EPL and K-League1 clubs to find out the components that clubs can increase bond with local people. As a result of the comparative analysis, most of the clubs in the EPL included the local identity element in the emblem, while in K-League1, 7 clubs out of 12 clubs use local identity elements. And even though there are four Provincial or municipal clubs, There are no clubs using elements included in the logo of Local Government. In order for K-League1 to have a comparative advantage over European leagues or other domestic professional sports, it is necessary to make a storytelling with the region and reflect local symbol elements such as the CI of the local government in the emblem of the club.
