Why Do Tourists Visit Bandung City? Empirical Study of Motivational Factors

The aim of this study is to examine factors or variables of motivation of tourists to visit the city of Bandung. The research method is survey, using primary data, involving 130 tourists as well as secondary data from the publication. Data were collected through structured interviews guided by questionnaires, or by emailing respondents. The tools used are factor analysis and cluster analysis. The results of the study show that there are 10 factors of motivation of tourists visiting the city of Bandung for refreshing, visiting cultural heritage, cheap price, enjoying Sundanese gastronomy, present at events, sightseeing, shopping, special purpose, personal and outbound (experiential learning). The ten factors can be grouped into three motivations namely refreshing, affordable prices and Sundanese gastronomy
