SBS ‘순간포착, 세상에 이런 일이’ TV 프로그램 분석을 통한 미술과 사회, 미술교육에 대한 고찰

A study on art, society and art education through analysis of SBS ‘Wowhow’ TV program

본 연구는 미술의 사회적 역할에 대한 관점을 다양한 측면에서 살펴볼 필요가 있다는 인식에서 출발하여 TV방송 ‘순간포착, 세상에 이런 일이 ’라는 리얼 다큐 프로그램의 분석을 통해 미술, 사회, 미술교육의 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 프로 그램의 텍스트와 정보를 분석한 결과, 미술과 사회의 관계에 대해서는 첫째, ‘건전한 사회의 지속과 성장의 잠재된 동력 ’, 둘째, ‘소통과 나눔의 동네문화공간 형성 ’이라는두 가지 의미를 찾아내었으며, 미술교육과 관련해서는 ‘찾고 맛보고 즐기는 미술 교육 ’으로 그 방향성을 잡아볼 수 있었다. 그리고 이에 따른 결론으로, 첫째, 미술은 개인 삶의 변화와 발전을 이끄는 원동력이 될 뿐 만 아니라 사회적 안정과 성장에 도움을 주며, 둘째, 미술은 소통의 문화공간을 형성해 ‘우리’라는 가치를 만들어 간다고 볼 수 있다. 마지막으로, 스스로 찾아가는 과정 속에서 깨닫는 미술(활동) 경험은 미술을 삶에 꾸준히 연결시킬 수 있다는 점에서 미술 교육적으로 시사하는 바가 크다고 할 수 있겠다.

This study started from the perception that there is a need to look at various aspects of the social role of art. Therefore, we tried to examine the relation of art, society, and art education through the analysis of the TV broadcast real documentary program ‘SBS Wowhow’. As a result of analyzing the text and information of the program, I have found two meanings of the relationship between art and society: first, ‘the potential power for sustainability and growth of society’, and second, ‘forming a neighborhood culture space for communication and sharing’. In relation to art education, I could catch the direction of ‘art education looking, experiencing, and enjoying’. In conclusion, first, art not only becomes the driving force of change and development of personal life, but also helps social stability and growth. Second, it can be said that art forms the cultural space of communication and creates the value of ‘us’. Finally, the art experience, which is realized in the process of finding oneself, can be said to be significant in art education in terms of constantly connecting art to life.
