Purpose When examining cardiac CT, in Dual flow technique which is using for Right atrium and ventricle’s correct increase and Strike artifact decrease, after injection of 1st phage which has genuine contrast media, when injecting 2nd phage which is mixed contrast media with saline solution, we are to search for optimize admix rate. Materials and Methods We examined CT coronary angiography to 120 persons (comparative group n=20, experimental group n=100) who took a health inspection from 4th of July to 25th of July in this hospital. When examining, we injected only saline solution to comparative group (n=20) in 2nd phage, experimental group (n=100) was divided into I ~ V groups, 20 persons each, and using Dual flow technique, we injected the mixed contrast media with saline solution to each group with different rate 1:9, 2:8, 3:7, 4:6, 5:5. All data of comparative group and experimental group measured Hounsfield Unit of RA(Right Atrium), RV(Right Ventricle), LA(Left Atrium), LV(Left Ventricle), RCA(Right Coronary Artery), MS(Myocardium Septum) by Workstation. 2 of the department of diagnostic radiology specialist and 2 of the department of radiology technologist compared and analyzed the images of each group with a faithful evaluation. Results Comparing the average HU of LA, LV, MS, RCA in all of the comparative group and the experimental group, there’s no difference. But at RA and RV, the average HU of the experimental group was higher than the comparative group’s, we could know that the more the mixed contrast media, the greater the difference remarkably. and, in an image evaluation, it effected more to diagnose the experimental group’s RV structure than the comparative group’s. especially it showed the excellence in III group. Conclusion Dual flow technique was a more valid method than Saline chaser technique regarding demand of Strike artifact of Right atrium and functional rating and fabric diagnosis of Right atrium. About the present experiment, the group of 3 : 7 which is the rate of contrast medium and saline among Dual flow technique. But it would be considered that the rate would change gradually according to Iodine content of contrast medium.
