A total of 41 commercial feed stuffs were investigated with special reference of feed contamination with molds and aflatoxin and the results obtained are summerised as follows; 1. Of 369 cultures of molds isolated from various feed stuffs, 337 cultures(91.3%) were classified on the basis of cultural and morphological characteristics into 4 genera while the remaining 32 strains (8.7%) were undetermined. The 4 genera identified in order of prevalence were Pencillium(189 cultures; 51,2%), Aspergillus(137 cultures; 37.1%), Rhizopus (9 cultures; 2.5%) and Cladosporium(2 cultures; 0.5%). 2. Aspergillus flavus was isolated from 21 samples among 41 samples tested. The rates of isolation of A. flavus from various feeds, bran, oilseed, assorted feeds and cereal grain were 66.7%, 57.1%, 47.6% and 44.4%, respectively. 3. Aflatoxin B₁ could be detected from 1 sample among 8 samples contained with A. flavus. The concentration of aflatoxin in the paticular sample was not less then 30 ppb.
