요한묵시록에 나타나는 어린양의 형상을 통한 담론적 그리스도론의 제안

A Proposal of Discursive Christology through the figure of the Lamb in the Revelation of John - focusing on Rev5,6 -

요한묵시록에 29번 나타나는 어린양은 예수의 수난과 부활을 중심 축으로 하는 요한묵시록의 그리스도론의 대표적 형상이다. 본고에서는 역사의 예수를 상징하는 어린양이 요한묵시록이라는 텍스트 안에서 어떻게 재표현(représentation)되는지를 A. J. Greimas의 기호학적 방법으로 살펴본다. 하나의 텍스트는 실재하는 세상의 단순한 묘사가 아니다. 텍스트 내에 얽혀 있는 시간, 공간, 행위자들의 연결망(기호학은 이 연결망을 담론 상황이라고 칭한다) 안에서 하나의 형상은 새로운 의미로 재탄생된다. 요한묵시록의 어린양 역시 네 생물, 스물네 원로와의 행위자적 관계 안에서, 그리고 천상과 지상의 공간적 구별 안에서, 역사의 예수에 대한 단순한 서술이 아니라 해석의 통합적 장으로서 등장한다. 말하자면, 요한묵시록은 역사의 예수에 의해 이미 실현된 구원을 상징하는 어린양을 통해 오늘을 살아가는 해석 주체가 예수에 대한 자신의 의미작용을 어떻게 드러내어야 하는지를 묻고 있다. 본고는 역사의 예수가 보여준 구원론적 관점으로 개념화 된 기존 그리스도론과는 달리, 텍스트의 담론 상황에 직면한 해석 주체의 해석 작용을 중심으로 펼쳐지는 담론적 그리스도론을 제시하는데 목적이 있다.

The Lamb, which appears 29 times in the book of Revelation, is the representative form of Christology in the Revelation of John, centered on the passion and resurrection of Jesus. This paper examines, in the semiotical methods of A. L. Greimas, the representation of the Lamb which symbolizes the history of Jesus in the text of the Revelation of John. One text is not a mere depiction of a real world. In a textual network of time, space, and actors entangled in text(semiotic calls this network as a discursive situation), a figure of text is re-created in a new meaning. The Lamb of the Revelation of John also emerges as an integrated field of interpretation, not a simple figure of the narrative story of Jesus in history, in the actor relationship with four creatures, twenty-four elders, and in the spatial distinction between heaven and earth. In other words, The Revelation of John is asking how the subject-interpretant living today should reveal his signification in the Lamb symbolizing the salvation already realized by Jesus in history. The purpose of this paper is to present a discursive Christology centering on the interpretative act of the subject-interpretant facing the discursive situation of text, unlike the existing Christology which is conceptualized as a salvific viewpoint of Jesus in history.
