The Relationship among Social Support, Career Barrier, Career Motivation and Career Preparation in College Students: The Mediating Effect of Career Motivation

본 연구는 진로동기 모델을 기반으로 전문대학생의 진로준비행동에 영향을 미치는 사회적지지, 진로장벽, 진로동기간의 구조관계와 진로동기의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 J지역 소재 C전문대학교 재학생을 대상으로 2018년 5월 18일부 터 5월 30일까지 자료를 수집하여, 434명의 데이터로 변인들간의 구조적 관계와 매개 효과를 검증하기 위해 AMOS 20을 사용하여 구조모형을 검증하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 사회적지지는 진로동기에 유의미한 정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타난 반면, 진로준비행동에는 직접적인 영향이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 진로장벽은 진로동기에 유의미한 부적인 영향을 주는 반면, 진로준비행동에는 직접적인 영향이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 진로동기는 진로준비행동에 큰 정적인 영향력을 주었다. 둘째, 사회적지지는 진로동기를 거쳐 진로준비행동에 영향을 미쳐 완전매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 진로장벽은 진로동기를 거쳐 진로준비행동에 영향을 미쳐 완전매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 전문대학생의 진로준비행동을 높이기 위해서는 진로동기의 중요성을 확인하고 진로동기 향상을 위한 진로프로그램과 진로교육에 대한 방안을 논의하고 후속 연구를 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of social support, career barriers, career relationships, and career motives on career preparation behaviors of college students based on the career motivation model. For this purpose, data were collected from May 18, 2018 to May 30, 2018 for the students of C college in J area. Using the data of 434, AMOS 20 was used to verify the structural relations and mediating effects between variables. The structural model was verified. The results of this study are as follows: First, social support has a significant effect on career motivation, but it has no direct effect on career preparation behavior. Career motivation has had a large impact on career preparation behavior. Second, career motivation fully mediated the link between social support and career preparation behavior. Third, career motivation also fully mediated the link between career barriers and career preparation behavior. Implications of the findings for future research, counseling, and education are discussed.
