Food inspection of livestock products and public health

This paper presents the status of production of livestock products and the significance of quantitative and qualitative control of products for public health in Korea. Author discussed on the trends of national dietary life, demand and supply of products, organizations and institute for the sanitary inspections of livestock products. In addition, recent patterns of food poisoning mediated by livestock products, and the important function of veterinarian in the field of food in spection and safety test for public health was discussed.
