A laboratory trial was carried out for the evidence of internal and external parasites in the laboratory maintained germfree mice. The results obtained were summarized as follows. 1. The reproductive performance of the germfree mice was revealed as 100% pregnancy rate and 19.6 days of pregnancy period compared with 92.0% and 19.2% days, respectively, in the conventional mice. 2. None of the internal and external parasites was detected from the germfree mice. 3. Common parasites infesting the conventional mice were detected as 22.7% Hymenolepis diminuta, 27.3% of Syphacia muris and 45.5% of Mycoptes musculinus.
