An experimental study was intend to examined the bioeffect of propane and butane gases toxicity for household use after exposure to 21% gases environmental condition for 60 to 120 minutes using guinea-pig, rats, mice and rabbits, and they were hematological, clinical and pathological observed. The following results were made through this experiment: 1) The average value of white blood cell(W.B.C.), red blood cell(R.B.C.), hemoglobin(Hb) and hematocrit(Hct) were trend to be increased after exposure to 21% propane and butane gases environment in various laboratory animals for 120 minutes. 2) The total protein and albumin volume, cholesterol, glucose, aspartate aminotransferase(AST), and alanine aminotransferase in the plasma were trend to be increased after exposure to 21% propane and butane gases in air condition for 120 minutes. 3) The blood pH, Po₂ and O₂ saturation level were trend to be decreased after exposure to LPG in air condition but that of Pco₂ and HCO₃ were tend to be increased. 4) Histopathological changes the lung paranchyma of experimental animals by bioeffects of 21% propane and butane gases included vascular congestion and pulmonary hemorrhage etc.. 5) The electrocardiography(E.C.G.) of rabbits changes after exposure to 21% propane and butane gases environment for 60 minutes but that of changes were trend to be normal status when exposure to 100% in air condition for about 30 minutes. Finally, it is hope that the information will be use for reference in future edeavors of study in the field of LPG research and the Environmental Health Science for man and animals.
