In order to develope a new effective prodution method of atrophic rhinitis(AR) vaccine, the physiological characteristics of Bordtella bronch isepitica, causative pathogen of AR in swine, were inrestigated by immunological techniques. The optimal nutrient sources for cell growth and epitopeproduction of B. bronchiseptica were determined as α-ketoglutarate, glutamin, magnesium chloride and riboflavin. The new culture techniques remarkably increased the cell growth and epitope productiom, compared with conventional solid and liquid culture.
