The protozoan parasite Theileria sergenli. which is transmitted by the tick Hamaphysalis longicornis. produce a chronic and acute fatal infection deseases in the cattle. In order to study on the immunological protect against the theileriosis, the lymph node of thieleriosis cattle which was homogenized, which was used for vaccination by means of intradermal injection with Freund’s adjuvant(LF group). T. sergenti antigen was mixed with Anaplasma marginale initial body, was injected with Freund’s adjuvant(MV group) and also the lyophilized T. sergenti merozoite antigen was injected with 10% aluminium hydroxid(FG gruop named) at a dose of protein content 2㎎/head, after booster all cattle were allowed to be infested by tick during summer. All cattle were screened monthly for blood clinicopathological changes, increasing rate of body weight and variation of the red blood cell substances with Western blot technique. The reuslts obtained were as follows: 1. Blood clinicopathological changes, the average of erythrocyte counts before vaccination were 1215×10⁴/cmm, but it was inclined to be decreased from Feb. to Aug. At the August, the FG group was highest (983×10⁴/cmm) others and hematocrit values of the LF and the FG group G were significantly higher than the control group.(P<0.01) Serum biochemical values did not a sigificance variation between the control and vaccinated groups except sGOT, indicate a poor prognosis for the theilerisis in cattle. The counts of parasite in erythrocyte(PE) increased almost in parallel with a decrease in the number of erythrocyte count. The highest PE values in the controlgroup(11.1%) was, and FG group(1.64%) was the lowest PE values. 2. Increasing rate of body weight, the correlation was proved as Y=14.7 8x+85.4(r=0.98), 188.68% in control group. On the contrary, FG group was Y=34.78x+72.57(r=0.98), 316.03%. 3. In the western bolt, to red blood cell’s substances of the FG group which was compared with the natural infection serum dnd the vaccinated serum showed the specific 30kd bands in the both, however the 28kd showed only in the vaccinated serum.
