Studies on the epidemiological survey of akabane disease in cattle in Gyunggi area

An Epidemiological survey of Akabane disease in cattle was conducted to investigate clinical aspects of Akabane disease outbreaks with abortion, stillbirth, premature delivery, arthrogryposis and hydranencephaly in Gyunggi area. 479 of 4.702 cattle vaccinated against Akabane disease occurred abortion(174), stillbirth(96), premature delivery(96), arthrogryposis(62) and hydranencephaly(51) from August to March during the period of 1989 to 1990, hut hydranencephaly was very low. The prevailing season of the disease was different from depending upon month, but generally ranged August to March in Gyunggi area. These was no relation to age of infected cattle with abortion and deformity of fetus and calves.
