The effect of lactobacillus casei(TSC-66) for the growing promotion in piglets

Lactobacilus casei TSC-66 was orally administered to elucidate its effect for the growing Promotion in piglets through 3 experiments. At the same time, olaquindox, oxytetracycline and Streptococcus faecium were also applied for comparison with the L. casei TSC-66. By the supplementation of L. casei TSC-66 to piglet feedstuffs, body weight gain and feed conversion ratio of the piglets were respectively improved up to 3%-30% and 4%-12.8% when compared to those results of control and experimental groups supplemented with antibiotics and other probiotics to the basal feedstuffs. Diarrhea incidence of weanling piglets was also reduced about 20% with the administration of L. casei TSC-66. According to above results, it is concluded that the administration of L. casei TSC-66 can reduce or replace the significant amount of antibiotics used for the promotion of animal growth.
