선원직업의식이 자기효능감과 집단응집성 그리고 직무태도에 미치는 영향

The Impact of the Professional Consciousness of Crew on the Self-Efficacy, Group Cohesiveness, and Job Attitude in Ship Organization

본 연구는 선원 개인이 지각하는 직업의식 수준이 자기 효능감과 조직몰입도 및 직무만족 도에 미치는 영향과 선박 조직 단위로 승선하고 있는 선원의 직업의식 수준이 선박조직의 집단 응집성과 구성원의 조직몰입도와 직무만족도에 미치는 영향을 실증 연구하였다. 실증분석 결과, 선원직업의식이 선원의 자기효능감과 집단응집성에 통계적으로 유의한 정 (+)의 영향을 미치며, 선박조직의 조직몰입도와 직무만족에도 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 선원의 자기효능감과 선박조직의 집단응집성은 선원의 조직몰입도와 직무만족에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치며, 선원직업의식과 조직몰입도 및 직무만족 사이에 부분매개효과를 나타내었다. 이와 같이 선원들이 자신의 직업에 대해 가지는 가치와 신념 체계인 직업의식은 선원의 직무수행 능력과 동료관계, 직무태도에 영향을 미치게 되므로, 해운기업들은 선원 직업의식 앙양을 통해 조직의 안정과 성과 향상을 달성할 수 있을 것이다.

Purpose : The purpose of this paper is to analyse the impact of individual crew’s job consciousness on self-efficacy(individual level), group cohesiveness (group level), organizational commitment, and job satisfaction. Research design, data, methodology : This study set up hypotheses regarding the relationship among the job consciousness of crew, crew’s self-efficacy, group cohesiveness, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction in the ship organization. Those hypotheses were verified by regression analysis based on the 1,975 collected data through the survey of crew. Results : The result of verifying hypotheses showed that professional consciousness of crew had statistically significant positive influence on crew’s self-efficacy, ship organization’s group cohesiveness, organizational commitment and job satisfaction of crew. Also, crew’s self-efficacy and group cohesiveness of the ship organizations had impact on organizational commitment and job satisfaction of crew. Furthermore, the mediating effect of self-efficacy of crew and group cohesiveness of the ship organizations revealed between the crew’s professional consciousness and organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Conclusions : It is necessary to emphasize job consciousness of crew to generate excellent qualifications, attitude, and competence on the crewmen. The enhancement of crew’s job consciousness will contribute to improve and maintain maritime competitiveness of Korean shipping industry.
