To elucidate the distribution of the dog infected with canine coronavirus(CCV) in Korea, 241 canine sera obtained from the veterinary hospital located in Seoul, Kyunggi, Taejon and Chungbuk regions were tested by using serum neutralization method. The over-all positive rate for 241 sera was 48.9% (118/241), comprising 41.7% (48/115) in 1988 and 55.5% (70/126) in 1993. Serum neutralizing titer of 16 showed the highest frequency representing 19.9% (48/241), By examination of regional distribution, Seoul region showed 50.0% (12/24) of positive, Kyunggi, 52.2% (35/67) and Taejon, 76.6% (23.30), whereas none of sera from Chungbuk region revealed positive reactions. In analysis of positive cases according to the groups of dogs, the small pet dogs showed 39.6% (19/48) and the mongrel, 51.3% (99/193).
