This study was performed to evaluate the residual effects of Bis-Carboxyethylgermanium Sesquoxide (Ge-132) on the body of egg-laying checkens and egg qualities such as shell pressure(kg/cm²) and cholesterol levels in eggs after oral treatment of Ge-132. Generally, two types of germanium formation possibilty residued in the body were reported : single and complex with bio-substances such as protein. However, no Ge-132 was detected from the chickens treated with Ge-132 and from their eggs as well. Increase of the egg shell pressure was found after administration of Ge-132. However, tend to be decrease of levels of cholesterol in eggs was observed. Conclusively, it is suggested that no residual effects could be induced by the treatment of Ge-132 in chickens.
