A multiresidues analysis was approached to determine 5 sulfonamidesulfamerazine (SMR), sulfamethazine (SMT), sulfamonomethoxine (SMM), sulfadimethoxine (SDM) and sulfaqinoxaline (SQX) in liver, kidney and muscle of bovine, swine and chicken from slaughterhouses in Gyunggi province by high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC). The decomposed rates of 5 sulfonamides by frozen storage and roasty were determined by HPLC. The recovery of sulfonamides in bovine, swine and chicken were compared with solvent extraction method and matrix solid phase dispersion(MSPD). The results were as follows ; 1. When sulfonamides injected into HPLC with amount of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10ng of SMR, SMT, SMM and 4, 8, 12, 16, 20ng of SDM, SQX to obtain calibration curves, the calibration curves and the absorbance intensities were increased in proportion to the amounts of sulfonamides injected. All the tested sulfonamides were separated well on the HPLC chromatograms. 2. In 5 sulfonamides, the residues of SMT were 12.5% in bovine and 17.6% in swine and the residues of SMR was 18% in chicken respectively. The residues of SMT in one of bovine and swine samples showed over 0.1ppm respectively. The residues of SMR in two samples of liver from chicken exceed 0.1ppm. 3. The decomposed rates of sulfonamide by frozen storage were 5.2~9.2% at 1 week, 12.4~16.2% at 4 week. The decomposed rates of sulfonamide by toasty were 2.0~3.2% in 5 min and concentration of residue was similar after 5 min. 4. When sulfonamides were spiked into the pork per dorsage, extracted and quantitated under the condition of solvent extraction method described previously, recovery rates were 69.6~83.5% and those of MSPD method were 84.0~96.2% respectively.
