Twelve chemicals were used to clarify for their hatching inhibition effect on eggs and larvicidal effect on infective larvae of Strongyloides papillosus. The chemicals used were lugol’s sulution, formalin, ammonia, sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, acetic acid, phenol, harasol (containing 5% sodium hypochlorite), saponated cresol solution(containing 50% cresol, 30% cator oil, 6.3% potassium hydroxide and 5% ethanol), danzol(containing 72. 5% o-dichlorobenzene, 7.5% cresol and 20% emulsifier), germex(containing 20% N-dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride), and farmfluid (containing 36.15% coal tar acid, 24. 63% dodecyle benzene sulphonic acid and 4.88% meta cresol). 1. Hatching rate of the eggs of Strongyloides papillosus in distlled water as a control was 60%. 2. The minial concentration of the chemicals in which larval devlopment in the egg was inhibited were 0.1% in germex and farmfluid solution, 0.25% in phenol and saponated cresol solution, 0.5% in acetic acid, formalin and sodium hydroxide, and 2% in ammonia and danzol, respectively. 3. Time killed the larvae in 1% solution of each chemical was 10 minutes 22 seconds in danzol, 11′ 35″ in farrnfluid solution 12′ 40″ in ammonia, 14′ 9″ in germex, 16′ 20″ in phenol, 17′ 48″ in saponated cresol solution, 19′ 56″ in sodium hydroxide, and 20′ 20″ in foramlin, respectively.
