The purposes of the present research were to evaluate the effect on the reproduction, teratogenesis and the postnatal survival and weight gain, and to determine the concentrations of Na and K in maternal plasma, amniotic fluid and conceptus when the pregnant rats were given a daily dose of 60 or 120mg/kg of ketamine, on five consecutive days, from day 6 to 10 or 9 to 13 of pregnancy.
