This study suggests an efficient training plan using smart learning for beauty styling courses. For this, a classroom-based network was used for informal and autonomous classes that use a smartphone as a medium for learning. Using the apps available via current smartphones, training was given. Then, as a way to provide training similar to that in a classroom, styling for learners was performed. The learning results were then evaluated, and the effects of the courses were analyzed. For this, an experiment was conducted among a total of twenty-nine students from the Department of Beauty Design, ‘K’ College, who took prerequisite courses such as makeup, hair and nails three hours a week for seven weeks. The results found the following: Learners expressed time efficiency and reduction of training costs for convenience in using information and providing training using apps. At the same time, they mentioned difficulty in operating these apps. All courses were performed in a quick and active manner, using a smartphone, and the results were instantly checkable for amendment and improvement. In addition, efficient learning was provided by allowing students to engage in diverse training programs to express what they wanted. Overall, they were interested in using apps with their smartphone, enabling self-directed learning. The above results suggest that smartphone app-based smart learning courses are effective and applicable to beauty styling training programs.
