Semi-permanent make-up, which is developing into a beauty culture industry, is increasing in demand not only for women but also for men to augment appearance. The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception and satisfaction with and recommendation intention for semi-permanent make-up treatment among males. Men in their 20s and over in Korea were selected and 285 questionnaires were used as final analysis data through the self-report questionnaire and data were analyzed sequentially using the SPSS 20.0 statistical program. In terms of general characteristics of the participants, the majority was in their 30s and the number of those unmarried was higher than that of those who were married. In education, college graduates accounted for the greatest portion of respondents. Monthly average income was more than 3 million won and less than 5 million won. The factors in the use of semi-permanent make-up were named as environmental factors, practitioner factors, treatment result factors, economic factors, and psychological factors. In the effect of the perceptions of semi-permanent makeup for men regarding post-treatment satisfaction, it was found that environmental awareness, practitioner factor, procedure result factor, economic factor, and psychological factor had a statistically significant effect on classification recognition, positive recognition, and safety consciousness. In the effect of satisfaction following the procedure regarding recommendation intention, it was found that environmental factors, economic factors, and psychological factors were statistically significant affects.
