The Use of Up-cycling and Recycling of the Hair Art with a motif of Four season

As a part of the human body, hair plays an important role in protecting the head. However, many people also see it as a means to express esthetics through hairstyling. People take good care of their hair to keep it shiny and healthy. However, as soon as it is cut off during styling, it becomes useless. This hair is mostly thrown away, while some longer hair can be recycled for hairpieces or other purposes. Therefore, this study attempted to make a total of 8 up-cycled and recycled items (4 pieces each), using unwanted cut hair. The purpose of this study is to suggest a growth possibility in up-cycled and recycled items made of hair and examine their usefulness in daily life. Artificial hair from mannequins in training institutes such as private cosmetology schools was collected, and usage was established by length. Short hair was powdered and recycled. For styling, seasonal natural colors were visualized and expressed in formative design. In addition, handcraft patterns were created. Even unwanted cut hair can be recycled as a new material and reborn into elaborate interior items through creative thinking and ideas. It is anticipated that high-level recycled and up-cycled pieces in a practical hair art format can be generated through unique and diverse techniques.
