To test the resistance of Korean native goats to salmonella, Salmonella typhimurium infection was experimentally induced in 5 goats weighing 9~10kg. Ten milliliters of the organism in broth culture containing 1.85×10⁹ cells/ml was inoculated into rumen of each goat, two among them were individually administered with hydrocortisone succinate 250mg every 8 hours from one day before inoculation to two days after inoculation, and observation of clinical symptoms including body temperature, hematological examination, bateriological examination and serological test were practiced.
